Enhancing Resilience…understanding trauma, understanding ourselves
This workshop will cover essential learning around the processes that govern learning and behaviour. This understanding will enable those attending, to support learning in a biologically respectful way.
As professionals we must be able to identify the most effective use of resources whilst ensuring we are being respectful to those we are supporting. Learning more about the brain and development will allow us to do this more effectively.
Resilience is a word used in multiple contexts. In this workshop we will understand resilience as the ability to return to a state of calm. Being in a state of calm allows an individual to become more engaged, and more controlled in their actions. This concept will be unpacked using neurological and biological information, allowing us as practitioners to work within our own organisations and communities in ways that will best enhance and develop resilience.
