09:00 AM - 03:00 PM
for current and aspiring middle/senior leaders
The only constant in life is change, but unfortunately very little professional learning is available to existing and aspiring school leaders on how best to lead change.
This session will draw on Mark Osborne’s PhD research into leading change effectively to identify guiding principles and practical strategies to help people support teams and communities through change.
Key questions to be explored:
- What are the essential phases of a successful change initiative?
- How can leaders develop a sense of momentum and urgency around change?
- How can leaders best support people through the (sometimes difficult) process of changing their practices, habits and beliefs?
- How can leaders best embed change into organisations so that it remains successful over the long term.
