Tiriti-honouring practice is about walking the talk! It’s how we welcome whānau at the gate, how we design learning content, how we show up for ākonga every single day.
This full-day workshop, led by Janelle Riki-Waaka of Riki Consultancy, is for kaiako and school leaders across Year 0 to Year 13 who want to ‘do the mahi’: real examples from kura across Aotearoa, honest kōrero in a safe and supportive space, and hands-on time to explore what culturally empowering practice actually looks like in your own kura.
You’ll leave with more than good intentions. You’ll leave with a plan: a practical implementation plan for weaving kaupapa and mātauranga Māori, reo and tikanga into everyday interactions with ākonga and whānau, and into your learning areas, ready to put into action from day one.
