Growing Creative Young Minds
It is time to celebrate a holistic approach in teaching and where the focus is on teaching the whole child.
As early educators we need to foster young children’s innovation
and provide them with the space and time and opportunity to develop their creativity in our learning environments.
Harness the creativity that children naturally have.
When teachers think about what excites them or what they are passionate about, we are already on our way to getting our brains to think creatively. This is often what motivates us as educators and brings more fun, innovation and an imaginative approach to the way we teach.
Children are the experts of play.

And in the words of Sir Ken Robinson...
"My Contention is that creativity now is as important as literacy, and we should treat it with the same status"

"We don’t grow into creativity, we grow out of it"

"Creativity is the process of having original ideas that have value"

When teachers think about what excites them or what they are passionate about, we are already on our way to getting our brains to think creatively. This is often what motivates us as educators and brings more fun, innovation and an imaginative approach to the way we teach.
