Digital Safety, Citizenship & Support for the Whole School Community

What is the digital health  and habits of your school community?

How do you support your students to use technology to be critical thinkers and creators?

How do you engage with parents and whanau about safe and effective use of technology at home?

This course is designed to answer these questions and offer guidance and support around the broad use of digital technologies within the school community.
Understanding the scope and impact of staff and students’ digital behaviours will enable a clear and constructive approach to improve learning outcomes and digital citizenship across many contexts.
There will be a focus on optimising commonly used tools to enable, enrich and extend learning.
There will also be an opportunity to develop realistic expectations of technology use with parents and whanau.

This discussion will support good digital habits and a consistent and cohesive message about effective technology use between home and school.
