e-learning has enormous potential to support the teaching and learning in your classroom and school. How do we harness this potential?  

Eighth session: 

Aspects that may be covered include: 

  • Top online tools to raise achievement

  • Blogs, wikis, podcasts and other digital publishing media

  • e-portfolios

  • Google Apps for learning

  • Game-based learning

  • Mobile devices and Apps for learning

  • Digital citizenship

  • Social media

Please BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) if you have a laptop or tablet. Also, bring your favourite e-learning tools to share with the group. Remember to complete and bring along your reflection sheet from last time, and any classroom issues that you would like to share.
ERO cites “regular opportunities to interact with other beginning teachers” as being one of the key factors identified by PCTs as helping their professional growth for effective teaching. 

Enroling for all sessions is strongly recommended so that PCTs can build a supportive network and benefit from the regular goal-setting and reflection aspects of the package.
