“Understanding how Trauma is Transmitted through Generations”

In this session we will be delving into how the environment can physically impact the development of cells and neuronal network formations. We will understand how exposure to chemicals in-utero can alter cell development, which can lead to life-long changes, impacting a myriad of skills and abilities. Exposure to high levels of stress activation post-partum can also impact development of many systems in the brain and body.

We will unpack the impact generational exposure can have on our genes, which includes the concept of epigenetics and telomeres.

Understanding these aspects can help us become more respectful of the impact intergenerational experiences can have. It also helps us become more aware of what we need to do, throughout generations, to increase positive outcomes for everyone.

This masterclass will be talking about very emotive and sensitive subjects, so please be aware of this. To understand trauma, we have to talk honestly about it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t difficult. Please come understanding this content can be very deep.
